Community Health Accreditation Program 

CHAP is an alternative to JCAHO for accreditation for Home Health, Hospice, and HME. Many agencies are switching to CHAP because it provides “Deemed Status” for Medicare, and is less expensive and was developed for community nursing and not for hospitals. IAHHC and CHAP have formed a working agreement that provides IAHHC members with a 20% reduction in application fee, 12% reduction in renewal fees, and 10% reduction for site visit fees. In return for marketing the CHAP survey process, CHAP will make a contribution to IAHHC for each member that joins CHAP, and  will present an educational program for IAHHC members.
